What Does Sustainability Mean?
Sustainability is a concept of a growing consciousness that humans are causing a tremendous negative impact on the environment. This awareness leads us to try and restore our relationship with nature, with the intention of living on Earth for many years to come. We are working towards finding better ways to bring human activity into harmony with nature and with each other - the way it was before. This is why we only use sustainable manufacturing methods and high quality materials for our products.
We are collectively working to sustain our presence on this planet for generations to come. This involves making informed decisions about what you eat, what you buy, where it comes from, how it was made, and how it may impact the world around you. You vote for a better planet with every choice and every dollar, which is why it's vitally important to choose sustainable goods from companies who are making our planet a priority.
How Our Cotton Is Made
sustainable manufacturing from the source
Naturally Grown Cotton
Our organic cotton is sustainably manufactured and grown without pesticides or toxic chemicals among multiple small-scale farming fields in Northern India. For centuries, India has been the leading producer of high quality cotton in the world.
Cultivated with Wind-Power
After the organic cotton is picked, the cultivation process begins. It is spun into yarn as the cotton fibers flatten, twist, and naturally interlock for spinning. This fabrication process is fully powered by renewable wind energy.
Once the organic cotton is made into fabric, it heads to our factory in Southern India to be hand-crafted into our bags. Each bag is inspected for quality. This sustainable manufacturing process is 98% powered by solar energy.
